Sol Kitchen Studios: Melissa Harris Pottery

Pottery is something I find so fascinating. It is completely unique and makes a statement on your shelf. Yet, it is also incredibly useful! A total win-win in my book. Plus, it just seems so personal. The textures, colors, and those perfectly placed little imperfections… I love all of it!

I ADORE this mug.  When I saw it I knew I had to have one! It was quite fitting for me to choose these words as Love Bug is a term of endearment I use with my girls all the time. The earthy colors on the outside with that gorgeous blue on the inside is so pretty.  Then there is that little pop of red inside the heart! It has a rough exterior yet the inside is so smooth and shiny. The best part is how it fits into my hands so well. Like a tiny hug. It is exactly what I imagine a love bug mug to look like.  I purchased it from artist Melissa Harris at Sol Kitchen Studios. Back when I was teaching, I had the pleasure of working with Melissa. She is an awesome teacher, artist, and an incredibly inspiring woman. You must check out Melissa’s work on her site because it is all so gorgeous!
