Welcome to Sew Many Pins! I’m Tara, a full-time Mom, Wife, and brand new Sewer! I am married to my best friend, Patrick and we have three beautiful daughters in our lives. Before I became a stay-at-home Mommy, I taught for 9 years. Although I hold those years near and dear to my heart, I am very excited to have the opportunity to spend as much time as possible with my growing girls. Time is certainly flying by!
I love shopping, clothes, crafts, DIY’s, and all things on Pinterest! I have found so many amazing ideas on Pinterest, but some of them are too difficult, time-consuming, or just plain ol’ expensive. Our family’s budget on one-income does not allow me to purchase all of the beautiful clothes and products I find for my girls, me, (and my husband too…sometimes). I have to become pretty selective about what we buy, but I LOVE a challenge! I have so much fun searching for great deals all while keeping up with the beautiful styles I see on Pinterest.
Sewing is a VERY new hobby and I love pinning all sorts of wonderful ideas and tutorials. Especially when it comes to clothes! Just a few years ago I had never sewed anything in my entire life. It wasn’t until my mom sparked my interest by buying me a sewing machine for Christmas. Admittedly, it sat in a box and gathered some dust for a few years until I gained enough courage to take it out. I started an online course that was a really great intro to learning how to sew, but the projects did not interest me as much as the ones I kept finding on Pinterest and I quickly stopped following along. Finally, I decided to take those Pins and find ways to begin teaching myself how to recreate some of those projects I was loving. That is how Sew Many Pins began. I want this blog to inspire and guide moms on how to find the best deals on beautiful clothes for their families as well as make inexpensive (beginner friendly) sewn versions of similar styles. I will add in some EASY DIY’s and craft projects as well. No Pinterest Fails Allowed! Pinterest will be utilized to find video tutorials, how to’s, and guides to help us create Sew Many Amazing Things!
